The winner of the KNCV Golden Master Award 2025 is: Tarik Zahzah!
Since 2009, the KNCV presents the Golden Master Award for the best Master’s thesis in chemistry in the Netherlands. Every year, one or two students of the MSc Chemistry are nominated. Tarik was selected as a finalist with his thesis on 'Probing Cation Migration in Mesoporous IrO2 Using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy'.
The jury was impressed by his expemplary knowlegde and skills on the subject, while operating independently during the project and writing a clear and structured report within the context of the existing theoretical framework.
