Research@LIC info market

A substantial part of your master’s programme will be dedicated to your research project, and at some stage during your MSc you’ll need to decide on a topic that genuinely interests you. To help you explore your options, the Education Office organises the annual Research@LIC (Re@LIC) poster market.

This event, usually held in October, gives you the chance to meet PhD students and PI's, ask questions about their work, and discover potential research project opportunities. It’s a relaxed setting where you can get a feel for different research areas and see what might suit you. You might find it helpful to ask things such as: What techniques do you use in your research? What does a typical day in your lab or group look like? In my previous project, I really enjoyed doing X — is that something your group also works with?

Events like Re@LIC are designed to make choosing a project less daunting and to help you connect with people who can guide you towards a topic that fits your interests and ambitions. You can find the various research topics on the LIC research website. You can also check out the Research@LIC organigram to get an impression of the groups and researchers.
