Have you ever wondered about how far the field of chemistry reaches? What other chemists, just like you, are working on? How you could get an insight into their work, to orient yourself on your own future?

Look no further than the upcoming Lustrum Symposium celebrating the 20th Lustrum of Chemisch Dispuut Leiden, themed “The Element of Time.”

The symposium will take place on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, in Leiden from 11:00 to 17:00. A variety of inspiring speakers from different fields of chemistry will present their work and share their perspectives.

Registration is FREE and includes lunch, coffee, and drinks afterwards!

Daniel Bonn, an Ig Nobel Prize lecture on drunk worms
Katrien Keune, elements in paintings from the Rijksmuseum collection
Koen van der Ham, gunshot residue analysis

and additional speakers from the Leiden Institute of Chemistry.
