Join the LED3 Lecture by Christian Hackenberger to hear about his group’s groundbreaking work on advanced chemical and chemoenzymatic strategies for site-specific protein and antibody modification. He will discuss the P5-labeling platform that his group has developed and that has redefined the synthesis of stable antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), providing the core technology for the biotech spin-off Tubulis that he co-founded. This innovative platform recently culminated in Tubulis’ landmark $3.15 billion acquisition by Gilead, highlighting the significant impact of his work. A leader in chemical biology, Christian Hackenberger is the recipient ofmany awards including the Max-Bergmann Medal (2024) and the UCB-Ehrlich Award of the EFMC (2026).
