Photochemistry and spin-chemistry are strongly related. Their unification leads to a picture of chemistry occurring at energetic levels and ruled by selection rules. Phenomena as radical pairs and phosphorescence, triplet states and initial processes of photosynthesis and their relevance for general chemistry will be presented. Most mysterious problems in science, as magnetic field effects, will be explained.
This course has been discontinued and is replaced by the course Photochemistry that will be scheduled in 2013-2014.
