Students in the Chemistry programme choose four courses out of the courses listed here for their research area (Chemical Biology or Energy & Sustainability). The choices can be limited by their prior education.

  • Courses that were taken in the BSc programmes cannot be taken again in the MSc programme. Instead, one of the other core courses can be taken.
  • Molecular Cell Biology cannot be chosen by students with a BSc degree in Life Science and Technology or equivalent.
  • Students in the education specialisation (EDU) are not limited to one research area, but are advised to choose a combination of courses from both research areas to obtain a broader knowledge of chemistry. 
  • Students are allowed to take more than four courses or courses from the other research area as electives.
