The Summer School Energy & Sustainability will be held from 28 June until 4 July 2015 at the Faculty of Science.
Energy and sustainability
The Leiden Institute for Chemistry is pleased to announce the 2015 edition of the Energy & Sustainability Summer School for international students. The focus of this year’s summer school will be Artificial Photosynthesis. The weeklong course will be an exciting opportunity for undergraduate students to familiarise themselves within this burgeoning field.
The summer school will cover topics ranging from electrochemistry and molecular water-oxidation catalysts to biosolar fuel cells inspired by design principles of natural photosynthesis. The power of fundamental physical-chemical research for solar energy and sustainability will be exemplified through a series of lectures by expert speakers, followed by a short practical course at the institute state-of-the-art laboratories.
